Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Arjun Singh, laid the foundation stone of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Ropar (Punjab) today. On this occasion, the HRD Minister said, IITs are our national pride and owe their existence to the scientific temper and disposition of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Making India the knowledge hub of the world was a cherished dream of Pt. Nehru.

The first session of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), which will be set up in Himachal Pradeshs Mandi district, will start this year, Minister of State for External Affairs and Information and Broadcasting Anand Sharma said on Tuesday.

IIT Joint Entrance Board have decided on implementing OBC Reservation in the existing IIT institutions of about 9% in 2008 with a target of achieving 27% by 2010. The Board consisted of seven IIT institutions, Ministry of HRD, and other key institution representatives.

Query : Dear Sir/Mam I am persuing 12th this year in maths subjects and am an IIT JEE aspirant.I want to know in what way can this website help me to get a great performance in IIT JEE 2008 exam?Also I tried a lot to get a registration on ur site but it didn't happen.
